What You'll Actually Learn
Weeks 1-4: Foundation Building
We start with the basics because rushing ahead doesn't help anyone. You'll learn how to organise financial data properly, set up tracking systems that actually work, and identify which metrics matter for your specific situation.
Most people skip this step and wonder why their budget analysis falls apart. We won't make that mistake.
Weeks 5-8: Pattern Recognition
This is where things get interesting. You'll start seeing connections between different spending categories, understanding how economic changes affect personal budgets, and recognising early warning signs.
- Seasonal variation analysis across different household types
- How inflation and interest rates ripple through monthly expenses
- Identifying discretionary vs. non-discretionary spending patterns
- Cost trajectory analysis over multi-year periods
Weeks 9-12: Application and Strategy
The final stretch focuses on using everything you've learned. You'll work on a comprehensive case study, present findings, and develop actionable recommendations based on trend analysis.
We'll also cover how to communicate financial insights to people who aren't numbers-focused. Because the best analysis means nothing if you can't explain it clearly.
Program Structure
Two live sessions per week via video conference, plus self-paced modules you complete on your schedule. We've designed this around people who have full-time jobs and other commitments.
Assessment happens through practical exercises rather than exams. You'll submit weekly analysis reports, participate in group discussions, and complete a final project that demonstrates your analytical capabilities.
